Is laser hair removal painful?
Our Motus AY uses a contact-cooled sapphire tip with Moveo Technology, making treatment virtually pain-free. Most patients describe it as a mild warmth. No gel is required, and there is no downtime afterwards.
Is it safe for dark skin tones?
Yes — absolutely. The Motus AY is one of the few FDA-approved laser systems designed specifically to work safely on all skin types including darker complexions common in Kenya. Settings are fully customised per patient.
How many sessions do I need?
We recommend 6–8 sessions spaced one month apart for permanent results. You will notice significant reduction from sessions 2–3. One annual maintenance session keeps results long-term.
Is there any downtime after treatment?
None. You can return to work, exercise and daily activities immediately after your session. Some patients experience mild redness for a few hours — this is completely normal.
Can I get laser if I have PCOS?
Yes. We treat many patients with PCOS-related hair growth — particularly facial, chin and body hair. Laser hair removal is one of the most effective long-term solutions for PCOS-related hair. We may recommend a slightly longer course depending on hormone levels.
